Probably an unpopular opinion, but scientists should get trained and be interested in making their work accessible. We don’t exist in the bubble of academia only. What good is science if it doesn’t touch people’s lives? This is why when we lose funding the average person couldn’t be less bothered.

a liter of isotonic crystalloid contains about 3.5 grams of sodium. anyone bolusing their patient with crystalloid while keeping them on a sodium-restricted diet needs to repeat high school chemistry.

another non-RCT just dropped suggesting a big mortality benefit from vaso in septic shock (OVISS trial in JAMA) so I need to tap the sign again 👇 RCTs & metas have failed to find mortality benefit to over-rule prior RCTs, you need a newer & better RCT sorry, I dont make the EBM rules #EMIMCC
