There's a level of detachment to DeviantArt and Pixiv. I mostly get likes and attention from empty accounts that have no art to share, so to me, they feel like empty husks rather than real human beings. Here, I click on a profile of someone who liked my art, and see someone sharing human experiences

I think its because them other sites have squeezed the last bits of human interaction left. This site started as a spite driven answer to Twitter's enshitification.

Its weird. I get a lot less traffic on my posts here than on other platforms, but the interactions I do get feel like they have a lot more weight to them. It has something to do with Bsky primarily being a social media app for everyone, where regular people share thoughts, instead of an art platform
