Show PostBeautiful, well-made, challenging contemporary kids movies do exsist (sometimes you have to look for them) and we shouldnt be blinded by nostalgia (not all old kids movies were good) but I hope the trend of overstimulation/under story isnt a permanent change. Kids deserve traumatic movies.
Show PostThe modern film industry seems deathly afraid of offering kids anything that might scare them, portray diverse POVs or show a less black and white view of morality. Its being proven over and over that kids love a little fear in their films, development empathy young and like to be challenged.
