Also existing familiarity with me or my comic has been a factor in my comic sales, but I think that's just human nature... I've also had some success with my mecha fanart drawing in people who then become interested in my comic! But both the fanart and OC work must come from the same sicko feelings

I've also bought original comics at conventions more often (my NYCC haul is almost only comics and artbooks) and I've been happier for it! I want to organize more comic-focused stamp rallies at cons to drive more attendee interest, but I'll keep them focused on queer or BL works, like a buying guide

In general my stamp rallies have worked better when they're narrowly focused and curated so that attendees can use it as a map of all the artists they might want to buy from with X fandom or Y type of work This worked decently at San Japan for OC BL comics, so I'll try to do it again if I can
