I suspect the way Vance or anyone will potentially distance themselves from Trump (laughably) is on the disastrous Iran War. But Trump’s favorables were below 40 before that. Iran just kept them going down.

i think the assumption that LLMs are going to make software more stable and secure are basically for the foreseeable future outright false. LLMs are not producing more secure and stable code unless significant attention is paid to what they ship, which it generally is not. and attacking is ~free.

It's actually pretty bleak the way so many people think that nobody ever actually changes, if they're awful they were always secretly this way, it can't have been a change driven by their environment and circumstances.
