Did he evolve? Or did he double down on his original position but indicate he's sad about the consequences to himself? If he eventually evolves, that would be good indeed, but I'm not seeing what gives you hope that is happening here

He, started with Oct 7th. Called it "a conflict." Said he didn't know enough. He can't learn? Blames both sides. No apology to Macklemore. Isn't calling it genocide. Could have said "free Palestine." Used a teleprompter. Doesn't blame Israel. Is fine with supporting Ukraine. Fuck him.

That money will not benefit Palestine, it is for "the region", meaning it will go to Israel to further their genocide and ethnic cleansing of the people they dispossessed and displaced in 1948. People's desire to constantly move on and pretend things are sorted out is just incredible.
