It’s very simple. People behave like dickheads while representing a party. Person thinks they are all dickheads and don’t deserve her vote. It’s naive to assume everyone reads the manifesto, absorbs the policies and does the analysis. Most people just want to vote for people who aren’t dickheads.

Just finished reading Station Eleven. What a lovely, complex, and enrapturing story! Obviously, the prescience of a pandemic oriented story, written years before COVID, was fascinating. But the characters, emotions, and interwoven threads are something that will linger for a long time.
