.env is not safe. any agent on your machine can just accidentally read it. i keep my secrets on a sticky note on my desk and read it via my webcam and a little ocr script. stays in memory only, never persisted to disk

the amount of internal tooling is exploding, it must be at all companies a weird side effect is when you switch companies then it's all new tools you have to learn, way less consistency than before but also you can just use an agent to learn about them so maybe it all nets out

After 10 years, I disabled my lobste.rs account. I think it's clear I am not a culture fit anymore with whatever it is they have going on there. I feel more and more like I don't belong in almost any tech community because I believe LLM agents are real, passkeys are good, and fascism is bad.
