At age 88, my mother had a longtime ministry of sending birthday cards each month to those in her address book who had a birthday that month. Today my dad came across a bunch she had started for October that she never got to finish. Grief sneaks up in the most unexpected ways.

No matter what, these birds sing. I reckon as a person of faith maybe the reason they do is because they know what matters most in all the world can never be taken from us & our Maker is unmoved, joyful & in full control &, best of all, I said BEST OF ALL, he has us a new day coming. A new creation.
