I did bad thing. I feel bad for having done bad thing. This is guilt. I did bad thing. Because I did bad thing, I am bad. This is shame. I think I still live with a mindset framed by shame because that was what basically governed my existence for the first 18 years of my life.
Show PostMaybe I'm abnormal or unrealistic for feeling this way, or communicating this way, but I can't be the only person who feels they're getting pinned down without even having a chance to frame or even understand the situation in a constructive way because they're immediately outer as "THE CAUSE"
Show PostIf I did something wrong, yes I should be accountable for it. But let's talk about it after the problem is solved, because when it's the first thing on the mind as opposed to "can we solve this together?" I feel vilified—as if punishing the one at fault is the real goal.
