Do you live in China and/or have sources that explain how that law works (preferably in English)? Because if the people being wronged do not live in China and have no way to contact authorities responsible for that law's enforcement nothing will be done.

Show PostAt the very end of the article is another concerning development; developing an original voice from a large voicebank. Where did they get all that voice data? It requires a large amount to make a proper AI voice software and I doubt they'd put that money into contacting all people recorded in that.

While in this case with a Chinese VA they got his permission while he is unavailable that is presumably due to Chinese laws and the potential to exploit employees overseas still exists. voicebot.ai/2022/09/07/c...
