Oh my. Is it like this because the decompilation has to generate a 1-to-1 executable to the original? Doesn't the compiler optimize something like this?

I mostly agree with the idea that C is good for most stuff and being afraid of segfaults is a skill issue. But that's not why I use it I use it because it's fun. Learning is part of the fun, but I'm still pretty new to it and so I have to deal with the skill issue too
