The Turkish example is really the best because it shows how unburdened the average Romanian is of both past historicism (He does not care of past Ottoman oppression like a Serb or Greek does) and of modern ideology (He does not know who Erdogan is or why he should dislike him)

Its fundamentally just not a military simulator frankly. Its a politics LARP simulator where you create very easily your "ideal worlds" based on whatever ideological schizophrenia you may have Why its dominated by Fash, and lower degrees Tankies, and Libs are underrepresented

I've posted this before, but the truest vindication of fash ideology in HOI 4 is that conquest is in fact a straight up net benefit.

The thing is that you should really not give players a "Gas Chambers" focus tree, for obvious reasons... But HoI3 kinda did this better by having conquest be very marginally improving of your economy, if at all, while just being very annoying to garrison and eating your military capabilities
