This one I'm very proud of: we identified a common genetic variant 🧬 that protects 5-fold from neonatal jaundice (replicated in different ancestries) which increases UGT1A1 (main bilirubin enzyme) expression in the gut, but not in the liver! 🖥️🧪🧬 A lot more here: www.nature.com/articles/s41...
