This is definitely something the author should consider. Perhaps a better question to ask is who is the audience of this essay, queer people who are considering cutting off their unaccepting parents or parents who have been cut off by their queer children?

Every time one of these articles comes out I get the same suspicious tingle I get when there’s someone online who has a suspiciously comprehensive knowledge about consent laws in different countries. Like…I want to talk to your kids before reading your manifesto.
