It is pessimistic, but he’s not wrong, unfortunately. Feel like there’s a bit of a way of looking at it with more optimism but, nonetheless, he’s not wrong. Dan just needs Alex’s desk and I think we can all wrap this up.

Yeah, ruined is a shit take. They’re both tired, man. I’M tired of Alex fucking Jones getting away with his shit, and I’m not deep-diving into his wretched behaviour for a highly researched and cross-referenced podcast. At some point you need a break from being soul-sick.

I doubt they'd characterize it that way. There's a fundamental disagreement about ethics in covering/mocking Jones, but Dan has been very clearly tired for a long while. Alex is in an unending spiral, and covering that is repetitive and boring. And nothing Dan has done has been ruined.
