@xmission.bsky.social@xmission.bsky.social → @xmission.comIt's the only time I've had an issue, but the whole company cares about their tech and it shows in buckets. Their proactive status updates on outages from the local Fiber provider are awesome and on the whole I can't imagine a company doing more for their users than XMission. High recommend from me.
Show PostI once uncovered a BGP issue between XMission and Akamai. The front line agent when I called in (on a weekend and at night no less) knew what I was talking about, was able to confirm the issue, and had a fix pushed within minutes. That's worth paying for in my book.
Show PostI've had XMission going back to Dial-Up. I pay a small fraction more than I might with other providers around here, but it's SOOOOOO worth it for being able to speak to a knowledgeable/empowered person who understands the tech if there's an issue, instead of a call center drone with no clue/power.
Show PostI sound like I might be getting paid to say this, but legitimately XMission does actually care about their customers. I've been able to call and talk to an engineer who was on my level when I discovered an issue once, and the engineer had the ability to implement my suggested fix immediately.
