I've seen surprisingly few on either list, but I honestly think both My Cousin Vinnie and Groundhog Day are more intelligent films than Schindler's List. And neither are very intelligent at all.

Schindler's List is the epitome of middlebrow. As far as actually having something to say its closest equivalent in filmic space is Forrest Gump and similar 90s middlebrow mawk. It's just got fewer jokes and dealing with the most horrific event in human history, so it has borrowed weight.

My favorite part is how a guy like this, 72, worked his whole life, now wants tax relief, could absolutely GET tax relief IF we taxed corporations and billionaires a reasonable amount. But this 72 moron says no taxes for billionaires, they might use that money to make jobs, and so HE has to pay tax
