Probably the most fucked up part of the pandemic was when someone pointed out we were losing a 9/11 worth of people every single day for months. I do not think my brain has been the same since it absorbed that information.

sorry to seriouspost on bluesky's most important holiday, but I mostly just find 9/11 depressing - from the day itself to the horrible war crimes and fascism that came out of it, it feels like the point at which things took an irrevocable turn for the worse anyway, fuck george w bush
