One of my least favorite things about myself is I avoid doing things both enjoyable and beneficial because it seems too hard/complicated. I love soaking in the hot tub. I sleep better and am less stiff with an evening soak. Half the nights I don’t because getting wet and then dry again feels hard.

Oh, man, this is eerie. Ann was my co-worker and just yesterday, in talking to my cinephile kid about her Letterboxd reviews, I told her about the time that Ann got away with a two-word review of a film, IIRC, Let’s Talk About Sex (1998). Ann’s review? “Let’s not.” My daughter was in awe.
