The only way these gloves are not a defective product is if they are actually intended to be abused in this way and the instructions in the manual are just CYOA. Otherwise they should have a limiter that prevents disobeying the instructions.  That simple.

If the manufacturer's recommended limit is 15 seconds, the manufacturer should make them not be able to shock longer than 15 seconds. Do you know how they stop electric fences for livestock from electrocuting them if they get tangled?  The fences are physically incapable of sustained output.
