I used to stress myself almost to death being worried about saying or doing the wrong thing. There are white people waiting for me to say or do the "wrong thing" so they can jump me. To feel superior to me. So I decided to just be myself and make mistakes and grow. And ignore these people.
Show PostI just don't like the double standards where certain white marginalized people will criticize me for things that are simple mistakes. While never upholding fellow white people to this unrealistic standards. The hypocrisy upsets me and exhausts me.
Show PostI don't know how to say this nicer than this. But white marginalized people need to give Black people grace especially when we're struggling. Expecting perfection from me is messed up especially when I'm recovering from surgery. It isn't helpful, you will get blocked.
