I wanted plot data for ErisMaps, so now ErisGIS is happening. I am going through every county's weird GIS system and having Haikus write adapters for ALL of them. Fuck every service that makes you pay for a standard thing. Will extend to other data types like local election results! ErisData.
Show PostSome fun notes so far. I found a county who's server has had an expired cert since may, Ohio's statewide service typo'd Parcels -> Pacels, and a sad number of counties make you pay. I suppose I'll just have the swarm draft public records requests for those!
