On Monday it will be 36 years since I was admitted as a solicitor. I have only ever practised as an employment lawyer so I have taken a moment to reflect. On the one hand I think I’m now getting quite good at it and on the other I can hear my mother asking what was wrong with medicine.

Was sorry to read the news about @jamesturnerkc.bsky.social who died yesterday. Many years ago there was a period when we chatted on Twitter nearly every day, and for a time I counted him amongst my closer Twitter buddies. Condolences to all his friends and family.
