Honoured to have joined such a large, cross party group in signing this letter, calling for targeted screening for Prostate Cancer. 12,000 men die from this each year, and if screening can save lives, it needs to happen

Yesterday, I joined @pcr-uk.bsky.social and over 120 of my MP colleagues in sending a letter to Health Secretary Wes Streeting outlining our position that no man should die from cancer because of his postcode, ethnicity or GP access. I know this topic is important to many people across the City of Durham and this letter to the Health Sec, coordinated by the charity @pcr-uk.bsky.social, was signed by me, and over 120 of my MP colleagues. No man should die from cancer because of his postcode, ethnicity or postcode!

I was pleased to attend the Prostate Cancer Research parliamentary reception calling for a UK wide screening programme targeting men in the high-risk category for prostate cancer. Early screening for cancers can save lives & it’s high time we did it for prostate cancer. @pcr-uk.bsky.social
