I expect some Republicans will cross over, but more will stay home. A lot of the changes in polling seem to be among independents.

A huge factor, too, is how much the Bushes hate Trump. Trump humiliated Jeb in 2016 in a very “it’s personal not business” kind of way. They have hated him since, and Paxton couldn’t be more closely tied to Trump. This is definitely not a sign that many Republicans are ready to vote for Democrats.
