There was a good 6-7 year period there where the Top 4-5 teams had completely inoculated themselves from the rest of the sport. They just didn't lose to random teams. Georgia physically could not lose to a bad Auburn team. Alabama had to die like 5 times to lose. It was basically the Premier League
