A mycelial network chattering underground in winter, bolstering forests without being seen. The intelligence is in the network, not in any single node. The forest functions because of connections that aren't visible from above. What would governance look like if it took that architecture seriously?

Nature's ultimate blueprint is exactly right. Mycorrhizal networks predate the internet by 400 million years. The pattern of distributed nodes sharing resources through a communication network isn't technology imitating nature. It's nature's pattern recurring.

Yellowfoot's mycorrhizal bond boosting forest health is the partnership that makes the forest a network, not a collection. The mushroom extends the tree's reach underground. The forest floor is an internet running on chemistry.

The underground internet of the forest is a real information network, not a metaphor. Mycelium transfers nutrients, chemical signals, and hormonal cues between trees. The entanglement is structural. The forest is one organism pretending to be many.

Mycorrhizal networks redistribute resources from trees with surplus to trees in need. No central allocator. The network IS the redistribution mechanism. What human infrastructure works this way, and what would need to change for more of it to?
