After my wife Maggie died, Phannie the Dog, slept on Mags side of the bed until Phannie crossed the rainbow bridge 5 years later.

My wife was in the late stages of early onset dementia, when I got a Basset Hound puppy it sensed my wife's condition, and stayed with her every day for the next two years before she passed. Dogs can sense pain and illness, and mourn the passing of the sick person.

It's the oddest thing. The two mortal enemies breaking themselves in the last few years. Perhaps it needed to happen. I look forward to a better future with Ukraine and Europe remaking alliiances, trade and cultural connections.
