I have not spoken to one expert in DC from either party in the past 48 hours who thinks: a.) Trump has a real plan re: Iran, b.) Trump has considered all the potential consequences of his actions, c.) Trump believed there was an imminent threat to the US (because there wasn't one.)

I think Israel told Trump it was going to attack Iran with or without us. He wasn't afraid of Iranian retaliation against the US if Israel began the war. He wants it to be his war and his glory. It's just another of Trump's childish plans, which are usually dumb, expensive and violent.
