It just shows that designing it right the first time is always going to be cheaper and more equitable. Painted bike lanes should have never been acceptable when there’s so much space for a grade-separated bike way.

Yeah this is exactly the issue the conditions for this change and the way research is done does not always satisfy “this one hypothetical posed on a microblogging website” but does have analysis that can be used in a comparative fashion, etc.
