The DSM *explicitly* states this by being clear that some Autistic people never qualify for a DX of ASD because their “symptoms may not be fully recognized until social demands exceed their capacity” so they can “receive the diagnosis.”

First, as the mom of a son with ASD, thank you and I am sorry for all for us that this happened. Second, whoever doesn’t know that erasing disabled people (figuratively and literally) is an expected step in this playbook, y’all need to revisit your European history.
