Gosh, this really is a rabbit hole. I’ve been using my standard acrylic paints for this: which mostly works, except the yellow has poor coverage. So I buy yellow for painting miniatures, and so I’m like, let’s also get gold, steel, and matte varnish, and a terrain basing kit, and a painting holder
