It is, I think, very relevant when considering both strategic bombing and unrestricted submarine warfare in WWII that in both cases the Axis powers initiated a type of morally questionable warfare which they then found themselves at a disadvantage to material factors.

I suspect the reality here is that a lot of people in Trump's orbit are pro-Putin either for ideological reasons or because they want to protect potential business interests in Russia and so they're feeding him this idea that Zelensky is the obstacle to peace, which works, cause Trump's an idiot.

There's a lot of absurd things here, but the naive ignorance of the idea that putting economic pressure on Russia would drive them *away* from the bargaining table is perhaps the most detached from reality. Real genius stuff from President Deals here.

Of course it seems like that Trump's desperate fury here is the result of people telling him (correctly) that fuel prices are going to lead his party to lose badly in the election, but of course he cannot take the ego-implications of that being his fault, so he rages like a gamer on tilt.

I would like to see the end of the term "vaccine skeptic," to be replaced by "reality denier." These so-called skeptics are actually the most gullible rubes on the planet when it comes to conspiracy nonsense and tech-bro slop; the only thing that makes them skeptical is peer-reviewed evidence.
