Lots of replies to this invoking America being uniquely more religious & having uniquely greater problems with racism/xenophobia, & 1) that wasn't the piece's argument; & 2) folks clearly have not been to many European countries before.
Show PostAnother data point: Trump was the <first Republican> since 1988 to win more than 30% in 🇺🇸's largest city. 26.5% in LA. 22% in Chicago. Urban voters regularly vote 75-90% for Democrats across the country. Today, the RN is at 34% in Marseille, 🇫🇷's 2nd largest city. The AfD is at 17% in Berlin. Etc.

Probably not, but given that low propensity voters broke hard for Trump in 2024, not sure including them helps the numbers
