Call time results in very little return for the amount of time spent doing it. At least in my experience. I try to look at it with the silver lining in mind that at least those potential Kansas voters are hearing my name, and maybe will look me up before the primary in 8 months. 😏

#2 voter outreach (which we would be unable to sufficiently achieve without aforementioned staff and consultants 😬😫) #3 donor outreach. That's right...we have to spend lots of money just to try to *raise* even more money. ::sigh::

As a very smart friend of mine recently said, candidates wouldn't have to ask for so much money from donors/potential donors if voters were more willing to do research on the candidates they'll find on their ballots. 🤷‍♀️ We spend the money we raise on a few things: #1 staff and consultants.
