I'm also a really big fan of spin offs. Mystery Dungeon, Pokken, Detective Pikachu, Snap, the GameCube ones... I like the experimentation of these a lot. (As you might imagine, I'm really stoked for this week...!)
Show PostYeah, I feel similarly. It's nice when a story really hooks me like G2, G4, G5 (BW 1 & 2 are great), G7 (Ultra, specifically). But I'm mostly there for the music, scenery, new creatures, stuff to talk about with people who play it. That's sort of what it's always been about for me.
Show Postplaying a Pokemon and being upset the story is for kids is like sending back your steak at Applebee's. like, you know what you signed up for. it could be much worse. if you wanted wagyu you could have gone to a steakhouse. but the steakhouse doesn't have $5 margaritas - and your friends are here.
