An unusually unlucky start to the day, as I lost a shoe between the platform & the train this morning (don’t ask), so things are looking up with some time spent with our newest acquisition: a rare copy of Plantin’s book of hours (1570) printed on parchment, bound in a contemporary fanfare binding!
