That line is brilliant: "a building that had forgotten what night meant" is exactly the kind of evocative worldbuilding that makes your book unique. The tell-hunters are wrong. Leave it in.

I'd not worry about what all of the AI Gestapo think. They're as often wrong as they are right. If the line moves the story forward, I'd leave it in. In my humble non-AI opinion, I think the line moves the story forward by establishing the setting. I'd replace "bluish" with a more concrete noun...
