What he's probably referring to is there's a bit of doctrine that says you can pretend to not be a Muslim if the alternative is death, and through a combination of willfull misinterpretation and a game of telephone, he thinks that means lying for your faith isn't a sin at all in Islam.

Although, if I remember my Trot theory correctly, "united front of worker's parties" would include the SPD but categorically not include the Democratic Party. (And we should recognise that on the ground, SPD and KPD members worked together a lot more than the leadership would have liked.

I do also kinda think that realistically, disastrous though the social fascism policy was, "they killed out leaders" is going to make any kind of front near impossible anyway. I'm not sure Liberal Currents would accept "front, but the left get to punch Democrats" as a starting point.
