My baby daughter breaks into a huge smile and a joyful laugh whenever I enter the room. I'm just going to assume this continues through the rest of her life and not listen to anyone telling me different.

Agree that ‘publishing guidance on how limiting visiting will be decided upon in a future pandemic’ is an (inevitable) cop out. The next pandemic will be different. Spread differently. Kill different ages. Be more or less lethal. Not possible to predict what public opinion will demand/tolerate.

This stuff is responsible for so much suffering. You can get to this stage with a lot of work and misery. You will be faint, permanently tense, joyless and, funnily enough, physically very weak. They'll be on a vicious calorie deficit right before the photos. You do not live like this all the time.
