It's important to remember physical disability ≠ wheelchair user always. Golriz had MS, which is definitely physically disabling. Same with Tam and lupus. I have a physical disability but I'm also not a wheelchair user. But I agree, they'd have to make some serious accommodations for wheelchairs.

Thanks George, I didn't reply to your post as so many had. Every one of us has horror stories and it's not just medical abuse, but gross neglect in work, education, social, transport and benefit arenas as well. Hopefully your article will spark something, but my breath will not be held.
