🍦I took my parents for ube and match soft serve in takoyaki cones with red bean filling. “Too much! Too fancy! Not too sweet!” It was hot today and I could tell they liked it even though they thought it was too much. They deserve!

Filed a column, planted a tree, unpacled some boxes, went for a swim, spotted a raven (definitely not a crow!) and a bald eagle (distinctive!) from the pool, and then got circled at close range by hummingbirds when I got out (they liked the red flower towel). A good day!
