I feel like we're headed for a Mycenaean style collapse. Everything everybody 'just knows', gone. Having to start over from whatever scraps the billionaires threw us. Not having time to write and teach what we used to know. Some of which we don't see the purpose of - see MySpace - but some we do.

What won't people know about our time? We've already lost chunks of cultural knowledge pertaining to MySpace and Napster. And servers go down. Since so many people don't bother to keep physical copies, their data can just be lost. Also, all those books scanned for AI? Hope some copies survive!
