3/4 Speaking of language, it is worth clarifying that the decision does not bar transgender athletes from participating in sport, it just states that makes are not eligible to participate in female sport categories.

2/4 The ruling vindicates years of hard work, courage, and determination by hundreds of female athletes, women’s organisations, and scientists. Most importantly, it affirms what we have argued all along: that sex is a material reality, and that accurate terminology matters.

1/4 I welcome this decision by the U.S. Supreme Court having filed an amicus brief for this case in support of maintaining female-only sports and spaces.
