When you had to get up at 6am to catch a train, second breakfast of pancakes and maple syrup at 11am goes down nicely, with a glass of chardonnay, especially when the scenery outside your cabin looks like this. The countryside south of Hamilton and weather on NZ's North Island today are beautiful.

Good weather flicked back on for today, so off to Zealandia! Saw something today I'd not seen before: face-off between tieke and hihi on the forest floor (both eventually gave up and ended up sharing the space).
