It is hard for me to understand why people think these emails are well-written or effective, but that's really it, isn't it? genAI is basically a Dunning–Kruger Device. Folks really think they sound amazing because they don't have the skill to know they sound freakishly off-putting.

I've gotten a couple lately that I actually think might have been real but I was so turned off by the emails that even if it had come from someone I knew personally, I wouldn't have wanted to have anything to do with it.
