Overdose is a leading cause of preventable death, especially for people leaving prison. In DADR, Chen et al found only 13% of incarcerated individuals with SUD received treatment, with stark racial and offense-based disparities, and very limited MOUD access. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

SUD treatment with XR-NTX is a challenge due to low retention. In this MAT-PLUS pilot RCT Wenzel et al tested a supportive intervention but found no clear impact on recovery/mental health. Gains were seen in symptom control and goal orientation, warranting further refinement. bit.ly/4kPnLY5
