When self-declared progressives started sending images like this to feminists on old Twitter, not only did nobody give a shit, they denied that it happened at all. When we warned that violent threats degrade all of public discourse, we'd *at best* be told to suck it up because we deserved it.

I think the case here will be decided on a pure interpretation argument. I know where I think the stronger legal case lies. @michaelpforan.bsky.social 's post explains the issues wonderfully.

Inner House (to be fair, the argument isn't made). And whether that argument is sustainable has to take account of the consolidation legislation defining certain expressions moving from exhaustive definitions (where a word "means" something) to non exhaustive definitions (typically "includes")
