why the hell would paying off your house have *anything* to do with property taxes?

Anyone asking this question doesn’t understand, or doesn’t want the rest of us to understand, what property taxes are for. Obviously, your share of municipal infrastructure costs and services etc don’t end when you pay off your home. They’re as likely to rise as they are to drop. Obviously.

Can we imagine what the political response would be if a Green or like Your Party MP was saying this stuff lol? even on here, there would be widespread guffawing and blasting ‘hard left cranks’. Yet because she’s a ‘gender critical’ moderate Labour MP - will hardly register.
